Description
When I try to use the contact-program on h1-rev3 (and rev1 and rev2, too), only about 1/3 of my contacts are imported, the rest are missing! I don't have that problem with Om2008.12, so the SIM should be OK.
Any idea where to start to look? I don't see any pattern what contacts are there and which ones are missing...

rev3 up to date
I have a different problem with contacts. I can read all my contact list from the SIM (only 30 entries)
But all the numbers starts with "+" (+33 for France, +34 for spain ...), but the "+" don't appears, so I cant call.
SIM is OK, because it is OK with SHR.

I have a combination of the two problems mentioned above.
Checked the SIM with another distro --> no problem with SIM.

I forgot to say that this problem started after I followed the procedure to make my G3 SIM to work : http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/GSM/Flashing. --> flashing MOKO11 to GTA02 (via uSD card image).
Previous I used h1 with a SIM that worked out of the box and didn't have the "+" problem. I'm not sure about the missing contacts in the contact list because it wasn't my SIM.
Hope this information is useful.

this happens for me too, everytime i reinstall hackable:1, all my numbers' +es are truncated.
Then i go and edit then one-by-one, and then it works :-/

- Version changed from rev3 to rev4
This is still a bug in rev4 (both preview and rc1-classic). I tested on a GTA02 with moko11, using both Qi (latest) and Uboot (NOR, 1.3.2). Uboot seems to show a couple of contacts more than Qi (but still about 1/3 of all my contacts on SIM), but in both cases the '+' before my contact's phone numbers has disappeared.
As I read above this could be moko11 related, is there any chance this will be fixed soon?

Hi, the same problem here. SHR reads all the contacts, Hackable:1 only part of them. Another problem is, that when i have contacts with the same name but different numbers, i can see only one of the numbers.

i made some kind of testing and it seems that the phone-kit is running out of time (phone-kit log):
- it really ignores entries with the same name:
(phone-kit:1408): DEBUG: import new entry: XXX YYY
(phone-kit:1408): DEBUG: ignore new entry: XXX YYY
- does not read all the contacts from SIM:
(phone-kit:1408): WARNING : Reading phonebook entries timeout

Since there is no official word on this yet (?), I decided to test a little more. This problem also occurs with calypso firmware version moko9 beta1 and moko8: it doesn't read '+' in phone numbers and it doesn't read all contacts from SIM. So that would mean it is not calypso firmware related. As bubak states above, it might be a bug in phone-kit.
Isn't anyone else bothered by this bug?? If not, please report your firmware version/other relevant details.

Same bug as OM2007.2 (gsmd). As we are moving to FSO it is no more relevant

fixed in revision #1096

+1 for me. Same thing, only 1/3 contacts available. (rev3 with patch)
