Description

please package vala-terminal for hackable:1

Vala-terminal is a light weight terminal emulator for mobile devices.  http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Vala-terminal It has icons for

1/ opening a new tab
2/ closing the current tab
3/ increasing the font size
4/ decreasing the font size
5/ pasting
6/ changing the current tab

Please see the attached screen dump to see what vala-terminal looks like.

I will also attach a patch with makes

1/ the font size a float rather than an integer
2/ the increase and decrease font size buttons change the size by 0.1 points
3/ the default point size 3.7

Note that I am running X with the dpi set to 284.

Vala-terminal will probably always be used with the stylus (I think). The icons and the scroll bar are thus too big. Is it possible to make them smaller with some magic in ~/.gtkrc-2.0?

Replying to stuart56:

Probably: take a look at  http://live.gnome.org/GnomeArt/Tutorials/GtkThemes and /usr/share/themes/Hackable1/gtkrc-2.0 : you may create a ~/.gtkrc-2.0/vala-terminal that contains overrides for the scrollbar and include it to the gtkrc.

But I'm not sure you can write application-specific themes.
